“I’ve been a musician and beatmaker for quite a long time but I always enjoyed singing and always wanted to learn how to sing well. I tried to teach myself tried to sing but I did not really know how to progress on my own and I realized that I should learn from a professional. When I came over to Singapore from France, where I am from, after accepting a job offer, I decided to look for singing lessons and I found The Singing Loft.

I have been taking singing lessons at The Singing Loft for about 2 months and I’ve been enjoying and learning a lot from them. I really like my instructor’s teaching style and especially appreciate how the workings of the vocal cords works are explained clearly. That really enhanced my understanding and heightened my awareness as to how to use my instrument.

Lessons are well planned and I liked how we discussed at the start what I hope to achieve from my vocal lessons and that I get opportunities to record at the studio to have an indication of where I am at currently, thereby giving me a clearer gauge when I want to track my progress.

It’s been about two and a half years since I have been in Singapore, and although I am very busy at my day job as a videographer at Fewstones where I specialize in producing music and dance videos, I still make it a point to come for lessons because I find them useful, informative and practical. I feel that my singing has improved over the last two months. Beyond that, I’m thankful that I can call my instructor a friend of mine as well-that makes learning altogether fun and meaningful.

Singing lessons here at the Loft are most certainly one of the highlights of my Singapore experience and I will definitely tell my friends in France about it.
