Shirley’s music career took off in 2006 when she emerged as the winner in a singing competition at The Ark Music Café (⽊木船民歌餐厅). She went on to participate in numerous singing and song-writing competitions where her musical talents were greatly afﬁrmed, including getting her original composition featured on Mediacorp’s album, “S-Pop”.
Since then, Shirley has performed for notable engagements including Mediacorp Radio Station, Love 97.2FM’s Unplugged Live, Mediacorp Channel U’s《⾳音乐 格⽃斗场》Music In The Air variety show, Red and White Flag for Resorts World Sentosa, and Rhapsody de Focus at the Esplanade.
She has also been involved in providing vocal coaching for the ﬁnalists of Channel U’s Giant Hypermarket’s Star talent competition in 2011 and to schools including Nan Chiau Secondary School and Singapore Management University’s Music Interactive Club.
Shirley’s commitment to her musical education (accreditation by the London School of Music and a Grade 8 distinction in Popular Music Vocals) has shaped her to be the effective vocal coach that she is.
